W.D. Gann (1878–1955) was far more than a legendary trader—he was a master of cycles, geometry, numerology, astrology, and biblical prophecy. Known as the “boy wizard of Wall Street,” Gann developed trading systems rooted in universal law and esoteric principles.

Born on June 6, 1878, in Lufkin, Texas, under the sign of Gemini, he was a true Mercurial thinker. From humble beginnings, Gann rose to establish his own brokerage firm, W.D. Gann & Co., by age 30. He made history with his accurate forecasts, most notably predicting the 1929 stock market crash months in advance.

Gann's research spanned mathematics, astronomy, cycles, and ancient texts. He was a 33rd-degree Mason and embedded spiritual and astrological teachings within his writings—most notably in The Tunnel Thru the Air (1927), a prophetic novel encoded with trading secrets.

In 1914, Gann was listed as a member of the Astrological Society, Inc. N.Y., alongside figures like Sepharial and George Llewellyn. He worked closely with astrologers like Edward Johndro and Luther Jensen, and used tools like the Square of Nine and ephemerides to track planetary motion.

His famous statement:

“I believe in the stars. I believe in astrology. I have figured out my destiny.” (TTTA, pg. 67)

Gann’s true legacy is not only in market success—but in the spiritual and scientific fusion of astrology and time.
